5 tips for daily trading that can improve your results

Trading

4 min read

In this article, you will find a collection of trading tips, deemed useful by most traders. Nearly all IQ Option traders engage in daily trading, but not all of them know exactly what it is. Daily trading consists of buying and selling financial instruments within the same day, usually for several times. When applied correctly, these principles can improve your trading skills.

1) Know the markets

This advice does not apply to general trading procedures (although it is important to know and understand markets), but rather to the most relevant events that occur daily. As you probably already know, the most important news and announcements have the potential to move the markets. Equities and national currencies are particularly vulnerable to news price fluctuations. Remember that even in time-limited trading, the fundamental factors can influence the outcome of your operations.

2) Management of funds

The amount of money you allocate to each operation must be calculated carefully. You should not have a fixed amount, and you should not invest your entire credit. Rather, it is recommended to consider an investment that does not exceed 3-5% of your total balance. In this way, you will be protected in case of a series of operations at a loss, eventuality that affects every trader, sooner or later.

3) Dedicate the right amount of time

Daily trading requires a great deal of time. In fact, the most established daily traders dedicate to trading the time that others dedicate to work. Daily traders do not have a working time and spend as much time as possible monitoring the markets. Daily trading is not an easy way to make money and takes a lot of time, as much effort.

4) Plan operations

It is equally important to select the time to open your own operations. Traders with more experience enter the market when volatility reaches its maximum, which generally occurs at the beginning of the trading session in the case of equities, indices, funds and commodities. For the Forex, things are a little more complicated. Since Forex trading is 24/5 worldwide, with the largest exchange rates in New York, London, Singapore and Tokyo, the peak of volatility is generally observed when more than one market is open. Some experts, however, advise beginners to engage in trading when, on the contrary, volatility is reduced in order to better manage risks.

5) Stay realistic

No trading strategy will be 100% winning. Depending on the potential increase of the instrument you are working on, it may be sufficient to get 60% or even 50% of the transactions to remain positive. The point is to win more than you lose.

These suggestions, if stored and applied to your daily trading activities, can really make a difference. Now that you're familiar with daily trading, you can test your knowledge on the platform.
